Paddy is no longer riding on Cheltenham Gold Cup day, but he was set to partner Gino Trail and is optimistic about the 13 year olds chances.

He absolutely loved it when winning at Doncaster a fortnight ago, and I don’t think he had too hard a race there, for all it may have looked that way on TV.  That was his first outing for Fergal and we had him plenty straight enough there, but I like to think he will be a factor here under his 5lb penalty. He went up that amount for winning anyway. He is actually still 1lb lower than when second in this race two years ago, and he has won around here too, and I think the old boy has another big run in him.
