YORK

1:50

King Of Cities (Sean Levey)

He got beaten in a tactical race last time, but he’s much better than that, and the likely strong pace here will suit. This trip is ideal and I’m pretty keen on his chance on a track he’ll like.

3:00

Rosallion (Sean Levey)

Unfortunately, he was forced to miss the Jacques le Marois due to a bruised foot, but it’s nothing serious, and the extra week has given us the time we needed to get him 100%.

I’m not concerned at all about the drop back to seven furlongs; he’s got lots of pace and a great turn of foot, so, if anything, it may even help.

The ground will be ideal and he deserves to get his head back in front.

4:10

Dark Thirty (Sean Levey)

He runs well at York, and if he breaks well, I can’t see any reason why he won’t go well on ground he’ll love and at a track he likes. He’s in good shape at home.

NEWMARKET

1:25

My Dad Tom (Tom Greatrex)

He got tired at Newmarket on his first run, so he should strip much fitter mentally and physically, but I’d say he’ll be a better proposition once handicapped.

Sprinting Speed (John Fahy)

He ran a better race last time and is a capable colt, but. as with My Dad Tom, I think he’ll be more interesting once he has a mark.

3:10

Logi Bear (Douggie Costello)

He ran at York on Thursday, and we’ll see how he is before deciding whether to run or not.

Sapphire Steps (Tom Greatrex)

She ran on nicely at Newbury last time over five furlongs, which is probably a bit sharp for her, so the step back up to six will help, and the likely fast pace will also play to her strengths.

Madame X (John Fahy)

She’s not really gone on from her excellent debut run but does have plenty of ability, and this is the type of race that may bring out the best in her. She’s very tough, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see her run well at decent odds.

GOODWOOD

3:15

Vronti (Sam Hitchcott)

I can’t believe she got beaten at Kempton last time; she looked home and hosed but got nabbed on the line by (what looks) a smart horse of Roger Varian’s.

She’s a lovely filly whose sister, Heredia, served us very well and hopefully she can finally get her head in front after some very solid efforts in defeat and stepping up in trip.

3:50

Pink Lily (Alec Voikhansky)

She’s extremely consistent and goes on any ground. The handicapper has kept her off the same mark and she’s a course and distance winner so has every chance of going well again.
