THE sun is soon to set on the Love Island villa for one last time. It’s been a rollercoaster eight weeks, with arguments, dumpings, partner swapping, several re-couplings and a lot of “doing bits”. Here we look at each couple's chances of winning.

Jack and Dani

Together from the start, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer – or “Jani” has they have been affectionately dubbed – quickly won the nation’s hearts. After their first kiss, the now TV royal couple even compared themselves to actual royalty with Dani saying: “We had a kiss and I felt like we’d just got married… like when Meghan walked down the aisle.”

They were first to make things official with pen salesmen Jack asking Dani to be his girlfriend. He reduced her to tears but she was quick to say that her dad, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, still had the first place in her heart, and that Jack “could have the second.”

The path of true love hasn’t been smooth though. Dani almost lost it when she found Jack was living with his ex-girlfriend, Ellie, over in Casa Amor and then Jack failed a lie detector test when asked if his head could be turned outside the villa.

But the biggest test for them both came when it emerged Jack had a canvas of a film in which her dad had featured above his bed. Luckily, she saw the funny side and, to many, that makes them deserved winners. Standby for a Love Island stationary range from Jack!

Josh and Kaz

Josh Denzel swapped ‘loyal’ Georgia Steele, who he’d been with for two weeks, for hot new girl Kaz Crossley on his trip to Casa Amor. Josh’s head was well and truly turned just minutes after Kaz walked in, despite knowing the trouble it would cause when Georgia found out.

They strolled back to the main villa a few days later hand in hand and weathered the storm successfully. They quickly won the hottest couple poll (deservedly), and Josh made their romance official on a picnic. They obviously really fancy each other and seem really genuine – we think they could go far and make a good outside bet.

Wes and Megan

It was a recoupling that we didn’t see coming, but when Megan Barton Hanson, who’d worked her way around the villa, set Wes Nelson in her sights, she was going to stop at nothing to get him. After swiping Wes from under Laura’s nose, Megan quickly earned herself the title of “Muggy Megan.”

But of course, like all good fairy tales, theirs didn’t run smoothly when Megan paired up with Spectacle Wearer of the Year, Alex, completely snubbing Wes. But nothing could stand in the way of true love and they were soon back together “doing bits”. And as the founder of the ‘Do Bits Society’, Wes deserves to win Top Male (25/1) for that alone.

Paul and Laura

They’ve been together the shortest time, but poor air hostess Laura Anderson really has had the toughest journey this summer. She went on the island “looking for a husband” but instead has become the most dumped contestant.

After being ditched by Wes, she found happiness with new Jack, whose head was then also turned by someone else. But she’s finally got her happy ending with Paul Knops – who impressively revealed on the show that he’s kissed Britney Spears in a music video.

The couple have already discussed what they’d call their future children and Laura revealed that her “type on paper” was a “rugged, real man.” We think she’s found that in Paul – a match made in Love Island heaven. They’re all strong contenders, but which couple will take the Love Island crowns and the £50,000 cash prize? We’re excited to find out!
