SUNDAY

1:00 Maiden

Snow Lantern (Sean Levey)

We pulled her out of Newmarket earlier in the week because the ground was much too quick for her and I didn’t want to jarr her up on her first run of the season, so I would like a drop of rain coming into this race, but she’s in great form and is a filly we all absolutely love. She is very much like her dam in physique and in her work and is an extremely exciting horse to have in the yard. Whether she’s a Guineas or Oaks filly this race should tell us a lot more and I’m really looking forward to getting her out. She could be top-class.

1:35 Maiden

Professor Calculus (Rossa Ryan)

He’s a smart colt by Twilight Son who has done everything with asked at home and I like the way he goes about his job. This is a decent race and I do expect him to improve for the run but with a bit of luck he can go well.

2:45 G3 Fred Darling

Happy Romance (Sean Levey)

She’s got to prove her stamina but I can’t see any reason why she won’t get the trip and the faster the ground the better for her. All her work at home suggests that she’s trained on and retains all her ability so she goes there with a great chance.

3:20 G3 Greenham Stakes

Chindit (Pat Dobbs)

We’ve liked him from day one and he didn’t fail to disappoint in all his runs as a two-year-old and he appears to have trained on from what we see at home. His work really is excellent. I think you can forgive him his run in the Dewhurst because it was at the end of a long season and the ground was much too soft for him. This track will suit and we know he gets the trip well and he is another colt who could take very high rank among the three-year-olds this year.

3:55 Handicap

Oh This Is Us (Sean Levey)

He ran a great race at Newmarket last week and takes his racing so well that we decided to bring him out again because he is as fit as a flea handles the ground and course so should run his usual big race.

Nugget (Ryan Moore)

He was very unlucky at Nottingham last time where he met plenty of traffic problems and did well to finish where he did. That run will have sharpened him up nicely and he’s a horse with a great attitude who could be quite an exciting Handicapper this year and I have pretty high hopes for him in this.
