I had a question about him on our Q and A session on Twitter last week, and I think I said then what a promising horse he is. He is a good jumper and a lovely stayer and chaser in the making. He won his only point and we were very happy with his Newbury win over 2m last month, where I think he beat a decent sort – that one fell at Sandown on Thursday – and we pulled miles clear of a 115-rated horse in third. This is a much stiffer test, so let’s not run before we can walk in assessing him – and this does look a decent novice, despite the small field – but he is a horse we like a lot. The step up in trip should really suit, and I schooled him on Thursday morning and he seemed sharp and well.
