We thought he would go well on his return at Newbury last month but, in common with a few at that meeting, he just couldn’t handle the ground. The return to a better surface, allied to first-time blinkers and a step up in trip, obviously saw him run far better in a win at Windsor on Monday. He carries a 5lb penalty in a deeper race here, but hopefully he will be able to progress again now, and maybe the switch to a visor will sharpen him up even more, as he was a bit too keen in the blinkers. 

And if you want my idea of the 1,000 Guineas, it is Just Wonderful!
