Nico de Boinville

Nico’s thoughts on three rides at Leicester on Tuesday.

1.03pm Leicester

Moonlight Flit

He was clearly in with every chance when coming down at the last at Ffos Las last month and he appears to have as good a chance as any in here judged on their hurdling form. It can get very heavy on the hurdles track here, which maybe is a worry, but he handles soft well enough and he should give a good account of himself.

Call Me Lord

He is normally Daryl’s ride – and good luck to him as he recovers from his hip injury, by the way – but I have been lucky enough to win on two of my three starts on him, and finish second in a Grade 2 on the other occasion. He was a very classy hurdler on his day, and one who handles deep ground, and hopefully he will improve for his run over fences at Uttoxeter last time. He clearly has a decent chance in a race that has cut up to four runners.

2.45pm Leicester

Docte Dina

She unseated at Warwick last time but she has a decent chance on her best form, and it is in her favour that the chase course is currently described as good here, as she likes decent ground. Trip and ground are fine, and she is on a fair mark.
