King Of Cities (Ryan Moore)
He didn’t get the best of passages at Newmarket last time, so did well to finish where he did, on ground that was plenty quick enough. He’s been in great form at home since and put in a really nice piece of work on Tuesday morning.
He’s got work to do to reverse form with Opera Ballo but this is a different day on a different track and I wouldn’t be ruling him out, especially if there’s a bit of cut.
Logi Bear (Jamie Spencer)
His last two runs have been over five (furlongs) and he’s been disappointing so we’re going back up in trip which will give him a little more time to get into a rhythm, and he proved he can handle a track like this as he ran well at Epsom in the Woodcote.
The forecast rain will be a help, and he has a decent chance from stall 12.
Raedwald (Jamie Spencer)
He was very disappointing at Doncaster and nothing has come to light, although Alec did say the ground was quite loose, so I’m willing to give him another chance.
This is a step up in grade but I’m hopeful the rise in distance will see him in a better light and with a bit of luck he can finish in a place at decent odds.
