Wolves v Manchester United – Saturday, March 16 at 19:55 GMT – Watch and bet here

Manchester United head to Wolves hoping to secure what would be their third FA Cup semi-final berth in four years. United have been to Wembley four times since 2015, winning two semi-finals and one final.

Last year they lost 1-0 to Chelsea in a largely forgettable final at the Home of Football. And while United may still be in the Champions League for now, the FA Cup is definitely manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s best chance of winning a trophy this season.

United are 4.50 to win the FA Cup, second favourites behind Manchester City.

Man Utd favourites to beat Wolves

Manchester United are the 2.32 favourites to beat Wolves on Saturday — and that belies the confidence punters have in the team. United have lost just two matches since Solskjaer took over, the latest coming last weekend with the 2-0 defeat at Arsenal. That loss in London highlighted some deficiencies that still linger in the post-Mourinho United side, but it has to be remembered the defeat came after a stunning Champions League win just days earlier.

United have since had a week to prepare for Wolves and may find this clash trickier than expected. Wolves have been in top form this season and earned a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford back in September. They’ve also taken four points off Chelsea, three off Tottenham and drawn with both Manchester City and Arsenal this term.

Wolves at 3.25 to win at home is a decent price.

First goalscorer betting

Romelu Lukaku has scored six goals in four games for United and is well worth backing here at 6.00 to net first. The Belgian striker has impressed under Solskjaer of late and appears to have worked his way back into the first-team plans.

Marcus Rashford may have scored just once in his last seven appearances but Solskjaer will be delighted that when the goals dry up from one striker, another (Lukaku) comes to the fore.

As for Wolves, Raul Jimenez has scored three in four outings and got the opener against Chelsea last time out. The Mexican already has 14 goals for the season and is always a strong bet to net whenever he plays. Jimenez is 3.00 to score at any time.

Yellow card betting

There were just two yellow cards shown in the last clash between Manchester United and Wolves. Yet these sides are two of the most aggressive in the Premier League this season.

United sit only behind Southampton with 59 yellow cards and three reds in the league this term. Wolves are fourth on the disciplinary table, with 60 yellows and one red. Both clubs average two yellow cards per game, so a price of 3.05 for +4.5 yellow cards at Molineux is a great shout.

But you may want to watch the football live stream first before making your bets, so you can gague how dirty this match is really going to be.
