Man City v Brighton – Saturday, April 6 at 17:30 BST

The first of two all-Premier League clashes in the FA Cup semi-finals sees favourites City come up against a Brighton side that will fancy their chances here.

City have already won the EFL Cup this season and are still on for a historic quadruple. To secure that, they need to get past Brighton and are as short as 1.14 to win this match.

Those are ridiculous odds. Brighton are 15th in the Premier League but are by no means justified at a price of 23.00 to beat City. Any football betting fan seeking an upset this weekend should back Brighton at those odds.

Yes, City should win this and that’s where the smart money lies. After all, Raheem Sterling, Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero and Jesus are all fit for the match. City beat Brighton 2-0 at home in September and recorded 80% possession.

But FA Cup upsets do happen. Remember City lost to Wigan in the 2013 final. This is a rare trip to Wembley for Brighton and they are worth backing.

Watford v Wolves – Sunday, April 7 at 16:00 BST

It is refreshing to see that a team outside the ‘Big Six’ will definitely make the FA Cup final this season. Watford and Wolves have both got their campaigns spot on. After all-but securing Premier League survival they have focused on the FA Cup. And the reward for fans is a trip to Wembley — and possibly a second visit.

Now, Watford beat Wolves 2-0 away from home back in October but are the 3.00 underdogs to win this match. But it’s hard to see where that imbalance comes from when studying the form.

Wolves have won three of their last five games, including two victories over Manchester United and a draw with Chelsea. But their 2-0 loss to Burnley last week highlights their susceptibility.

Watford, likewise, have won three in five games. Yes, all three wins were at home and to lower-ranked sides (Leicester, Crystal Palace and Fulham) but their form is still there. Watford pushed Manchester City and Manchester United hard recently and have the bottle for big games.

This match is 3.25 to finish a draw and head into extra time. That is a decent bet. Both teams to score at 1.84 is definitely worth considering.
