Jump racing takes us to Doncaster, Ludlow and Punchestown, whilst it is busy on the all-weather at with meetings at Chelmsford, Newcastle and Wolverhampton.

I’ve just completed part of my Cheltenham Festival preparation with a sunny break in Tenerife and tomorrow I’m at the home of jump racing.

This afternoon Kingofthecotswolds is one of my selections and as a Gloucestershire boy I always get a tremendous buzz whenever I visit the stunning setting of this fantastic racecourse.

Not long now till the first day of The Festival  featuring the Unibet Champion Hurdle!

1.50 Ludlow Hurdle 2m

KINGOFTHECOTSWOLDS is improving with every run and his second to the quality Scarlet Dragon at Huntingdon last time out reads well.

This is an interesting contest and Kingofthecotswolds for the Twiston – Davies yard can hold Grand Inquisitor and Ligerien, who bring strong form to the race.

Unibet win 15/8

2.15 Doncaster Hurdle 2m 3½f

DOCTOR DEX is definitely progressive and he can follow up his Wetherby success last time out, where the second and third have both won next time out.

This step up in trip looks sure to suit for Tom George’s charge.

Unibet win 6/4

3.00 Ludlow Hurdle 2m

RED MIX (nap) flopped at Sandown on his debut for the Dr.Richard Newland yard but his fencing let him down, so this return to hurdles might be just what he needs to get his confidence back. Was very well backed there to co-favourite so clearly better was expected, and he’s already seven pounds lower in the weights. Too early to dismiss.

Unibet win 9/2

4.30 Doncaster Chase 3m 2f

This Hunter Chase appears to be a match between the classy pair Wonderful Charm and Forgotten Gold, but both have long absences to overcome and if UPSWING can repeat his Warwick fourth from January then he’s really not that far behind them, and he could cause an upset. It all went wrong for him at Ludlow last time but he may be happier left-handed these days and if on a going day, isn’t out of this.

Unibet each way 10/1

5.30 Wolverhampton 6f

After a year without a victory, Milton Bradley is back among the winners and maybe BURAUQ, well berthed in stall 1, might be able to get on the scoresheet. He ran okay after a short break at Kempton last time and if returning to form of 12 months ago is worth an each way shout in a very weak contest.

Unibet each way 20/1
