Cheltenham

Day two at The November Meeting looks very competitive, and a bumper Saturday crowd will be able to look forward to an excellent day of racing. This has the appearance of a card to be near the front end of the market even when you have such a competitive Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase, whilst Ginny’s Destiny Unibet 11/4 is the right favourite and has all the credentials to follow up on Stage Star’s 2024 success at the top of the market in the big handicap chase. This race has typically not gone to a favourite in recent times. However, seven of the last ten winners have been 10/1 or less.

Enjoy whether at Cheltenham or watching #athome on ITV Racing and Racing TV.

Cheers

The Wine Tipster

1:10 Cheltenham – Steel Plate & Sections Ltd Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap Chase (3m 1f)
Transmission really caught the eye on only his second career chase start when he was runner-up at the October meeting. He looked in need of the run beforehand but still looked like throwing down a challenge to Hyland before that lack of a run kicked in, and he looked tired toward the finish. Patrick Mullins’ booking cannot be ignored, and he looks like a major player.

Unibet 9/2 win

2:20 Cheltenham – Handicap Chase (2m 4f)
Let’s Go Champ makes plenty of appeal as an each-way selection off a low weight and with the ground in his favour.

This nine-year-old is having his sixth start over fences, having won two beginners chases during the winter and on his penultimate start, winning at the Punchestown Festival ahead of running well until fading late on to finish sixth in the Galway Plate.

Unibet 9/1 each way

2:55 Cheltenham – Handicap Hurdle (3m)
Doyen Quest (nap) is stepping up to three miles for the first time and whilst this is a slight unknown, he has plenty going for him here. Doyen Quest was progressive throughout last season, including at Cheltenham in April when beating Whatsupwithyou (ran Friday, tipped in my Unibet blog) and he reappeared to run a very good second in the Gold Trophy at Chepstow last month, finding only Josh The Boss too good. That form is very strong, with plenty of winners coming from those that were well beaten that day, and Doyen Quest still looks on the right side of the handicapper.

Unibet 5/2 win

3:30 Cheltenham – Handicap Hurdle (2m 5f)
Wyenot really impressed at The Showcase meeting when making all to beat Anna Burina by a length with the handicapper raising the mare 6lbs for that victory over half a furlong short of this trip. Wyenot has won four of her six starts over hurdles and has to be a player with ground once again in her favour in a competitive renewal.

Unibet 4/1 win
