DAY three of the Qatar Goodwood Festival sees a cracking renewal of the Nassau Stakes Group 1, with very little to choose between Audayra, Joan Of Arc and Lady Bowthorpe. Three-year-olds have won four of the last five renewals and Joan Of Arc won the Prix de Diane at Chantilly in tremendous style after finishing second in the 1,000 Guineas. The five-year-old Lady Bowthorpe was victorious in the Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket and then was an unlucky fourth in the Falmouth Stakes at the July Festival. The five-year-old Audayra just has the edge though for me after that second to Love on seasonal reappearance and she had an excellent season last year.
In the 5.20 Handicap if the ground had been quick I would be backing Twilight Calls, who so impressed at Newmarket last time out.
Enjoy a fantastic day three #athome and at Goodwood Racecourse.
Cheers

1.50 Goodwood – Unibet ’15 To Go’ Kincsem Stakes Handicap (1m 2f)
Patient Dream put his Epsom nightmare run behind him when drawn in stall 1 with a game win at Windsor, he led some way out and fought them all off to score. Proven on soft ground and having already won at Epsom earlier in the year has more to come.
Unibet 11/2 each way
Fast Steps won at Epsom in April and run a good third at Newbury behind on Encourage on handicap debut on good to soft after racing freely. He was staying on well at Newbury and he has a good each way chance here.

2.25 Goodwood – Unibet Richmond Stakes Group 2 (6f)
Asymmetric (nap) was marked up in my Unibet blog for the July Stakes at Newmarket and he was just beaten by Lusail on good to firm when challenging from off the pace. That was a marked step up from his previous easy win at Newmarket on good to soft and so he will handle conditions. There is plenty to like about his attitude and he can win for Alan King.
Unibet 5/2 win
3.35 Goodwood – Nassau Stakes Group 1 (1m 1f)
Audayra has the form in the book, acts on the ground and has won at Goodwood so just comes out on top here in my is a fantastic renewal. Her seasonal reappearance when second to Love in the Prince of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot was a cracker. Last season she delivered some top performances including her third at Longchamp in the Prix d’Opera and then won the Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf.
Unibet 7/4 win
4.10 Goodwood – Racecourse Patrons Nursery Handicap (7f)
Ardbraccan for Unibet Ambassador Richard Hannon won well at Newmarket last time out on her third career start on good to firm following a good second at the July Festival. She looks progressive and should handle the ground as her sire Lawman was very effective on good to soft.
Unibet 7/2 win
5.20 Goodwood – Handicap 5f
Showalong has a good opportunity here to get his second win of the season following his easy victory on good to soft at Chester in May. Ignore his run at Ascot this month when he didn’t get the run of race.
