Day four of Royal Ascot 2025 features the Commonwealth Cup Group 1 and the 2000 Guineas third Shadow Of Light has a good chance and in an intriguing Coronation Stakes the supplemented Falakeyah and Kon Tiki, as well as the French Guineas winner Zarigana make up the first three in the market.
Enjoy whether at Royal Ascot or watching all the races #athome on ITV Racing.

2:30 Royal Ascot – Albany Stakes Group 3 (6f)
Fitzella finished a late challenging neck second to Military Code here at Ascot on debut at 33/1 and then really improved on that to win with plenty in hand at Haydock last time when making all, with a step up to six furlongs suiting her well. The runner-up Talahel has a Group 2 entry at the Curragh, whilst the third, Bella Lyra, has franked the form with an easy win at Windsor since, and Fitzella looks one of the major players here.

3:05 Royal Ascot – Commonwealth Cup Group 1 (6f)
Shadow Of Light has been given the right opportunity here in stepping down in trip after his 2000 Guineas third where he came to throw down a challenge at the furlong marker, but was just outstayed, and nothing much more than that, by stable companion Ruling Court and Field Of Gold.
This is a good example of classy sprinters not staying the one-mile trip there, only to be brought back in trip and win the big summer sprints, with the likes of Perfect Power and Inisherin winning the Commonwealth Cup in 2022 and 2024 respectively.

4:20 Royal Ascot – Coronation Stakes Group 1 (1m)
Zarigana won twice as a juvenile and this season has beaten Shes Perfect in the Prix de la Grotte at Longchamp ahead of rightly being awarded the 1000 Guineas at the same course after interference by Shes Perfect at the one-furlong marker.
The supplemented Kon Tiki and Falakeyah are exciting prospects, however the French raider Zarigana has the class to come out on top here.

5.00 Royal Ascot – Sandringham Stakes Fillies’ Handicap (1m)
Miss Nightfall has not finished out of the first three on six career starts with one success at Windsor. She was unlucky at Goodwood last month when not getting a clear run and finished second to Silver Ghost beaten two and a half lengths.
Miss Nightfall certainly has the ability and will be right in the mix for each way players.

6.10 Royal Ascot – Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes Handicap (5f)
Redorange delivered a career best performance over this distance at Chester last time out when beating Ruby’s Profit by a length for which he received a 9lb rise and can improve once again here to reward each way players.
Unibet 8/1 each way
