The final day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival and I’m looking forward to seeing Wonderful Tonight Unibet 4/6 win the Qatar Lille Langtry Stakes Group 2 as everything will suit her.
The Unibet Stewards’ Cup is the feature with a full field of 28 runners. There are six places being paid by Unibet so have a look at Justanotherbottle Unibet 40/1 each way, who creeps in at the bottom of the weights, finishing second in 2018 and fifth in 2019 (missed out last year). He looks well handicapped.
Enjoy the final day of the 2021 Qatar Goodwood Festival
Cheers

1.55 Goodwood – Unibet Stewards’ Handicap (Consolation Race for the Stewards’ Cup) (6f)
First Folio carries top weight of nine stone ten pounds here after just missing out in lining up in the Unibet Stewards’ Cup. In the last five years there have been two winners carrying a pound or two less so this is definitely not prohibitive. On his last start First Folio won last time out in York going away at the finish on quick going, however he has plenty of form on good to soft too.
Unibet 4/1 win
Kimifive would have been a similar price in the Unibet Stewards’ Cup and although he has missed out on the big prize, he can take a hand in the consolation instead. He has a very good record at Goodwood (10623) and apart from his last start he has been really consistent all season – liked his fifth to Motakhayyel in the Bunbury Cup two starts ago.
Unibet 16/1 each way
2.30 Goodwood – Summer Handicap (1m 6f)
Nuits St Georges (nap) looked nothing but a galloper when scoring from the front at Salisbury last time, and won with a bit in hand, so a five-pound rise looks more than fair. Has winning Goodwood form to his name and ground will be perfect for him. He is now fulfilling his potential and can strike here.
Unibet 5/1
3.40 Goodwood – Unibet Stewards’ Cup (6f)
Fresh can go one better than in the Wokingham at Royal Ascot when he was second to Rohann and take the Unibet Stewards’ Cup. Fresh had won at Ascot on his previous start and he has solely raced over six furlongs, which is a very positive note, and he is most effective on soft and good to soft. This four-year-old has the right profile and trainer James Fanshawe has his yard in good form.
Unibet 6/1 each way
Punchbowl Flyer headed home the near side group in the Wokingham, having no chance with the group on the far side led home by Rohann and Fresh. Punchbowl Flyer then won at Windsor for the second time this season and his victory at Haydock beating Biesla (reopposes today) was impressive when making all. Soft going suits him and being near a rail in stall 3 is a benefit too for this front runner.
Unibet 16/1 each way
4.45 Goodwood – Apprentice Handicap (1m 1f)
HMS President has been running well season and is worth an each way wager with Georgia Dobie in the plate. HMS President won earlier this season over one mile two furlongs at Windsor on good to soft so all good for trip and ground.
Unibet 7/1 each way
