JOHN Gosden, whose strike rate is 42%, has eight runners today, with five at Sandown and three at Yarmouth. Only Inference at Yarmouth is priced above 11/4 currently and Frankie Dettori takes all five rides at Sandown, which will draw a good crowd on a beautiful day.
Elsewhere, Yarmouth feature their Fillies’ Stakes Listed Race, with Beverley, Kelso and Naas also racing.
The three-day Ayr Gold Cup Festival starts tomorrow and look out for Glasvegas, trained by local man Keith Dalgleish, if declared to run on Friday. Whilst in the Ayr Gold Cup on Saturday Summerghand has been running well, with his second in the Great St Wilfrid a strong piece of form.

Sh Boom has been campaigned at a high level, including in the Oaks when 13th to Anapurna at 100/1. Although she has plenty to find at the weights Sh Boom put in an improved effort in the Group 3 Atalanta Stakes at Sandown last time when fifth, after not getting a clear run two furlongs out. That trip was over a mile and this step back up to 10f should suit and she might be improving at the right time and represents good each way value in a race that has seen some shocks.

3.25 Sandown Listed Race 1m
King Of Change (nap) for Unibet Ambassador Richard Hannon has a good chance of taking this Listed contest on his first start since his excellent second in the 2,000 Guineas in May. The stands’ side group where Kings Of Change ran were considered to have an advantage that day but rewatching this classic only illustrates what a good race he ran at 66/1 behind the winner Magna Grecia on the same side of the course.
Kings Of Change looks sure to be well suited by a mile at Sandown.

4.00 Sandown Handicap 1m
Magical Rhythms for the John Gosden and Frankie Dettori team had continually caught the eye in her novice starts before coming good at Kempton with a smooth success last time. Goes into handicaps on a realistic mark and it’ll be a major surprise if we have seen the best of her yet.
Unibet 11/4 win
4.35 Sandown Handicap 1m 2f
The well-bred Sucellus was last seen in May at Goodwood when a good third on handicap debut and this colt wasn’t persevered with on that occasion. He has subsequently had a wind operation and this lightly-raced type looks to have plenty of potential can strike for the John Gosden team.
Unibet 7/2 win
5.05 Sandown
Toybox has plenty of size about her and has probably taken time to get fit this season, but it was a better effort at Windsor last time (in first time cheekpieces, retained here) and she looks on a very fair mark now. Looked suited by Sandown two starts ago and she has chances for the Jonathan Portman yard.

5.40 Beverley Apprentice Classified Stakes Class 6 1m ½ f
Foxy Rebel for Ruth Carr has a good each way chance in a very weak Class 6. Amity Island is the one to beat on form but whether he wants to win again is open to question, and Foxy Rebel might be able to make all here. It was a poor effort at Nottingham last time, but his Musselburgh run previous to that was solid enough.
