AN excellent Saturday of racing to look forward to with the Tingle Creek Chase Grade 1 at Sandown in which Jonbon Unibet 8/15 on can follow up on last year’s success for Unibet Ambassador Nicky Henderson.
At Aintree the Becher Chase over the National fences is an excellent renewal and I’m looking forward to seeing how the exciting Chianti Classico performs with the Grand National a potential target.
Enjoy whether at a racecourse or watching #athome on ITV Racing and Racing TV.
Cheers
The Wine Tipster.
2:07 Aintree – Becher Handicap Chase (3m 2f)
Chianti Classico (nap) was marked up in my Unibet Ten To Follow last season and is the only horse to feature in my Unibet Ten To Follow two years running!
Chianti Classico is a fantastic looking individual and he showed his well-being when winning at Ascot last month when looking in great form. He looks sure to take to the Grand National fences and as a reminder of his jumping ability take a look back at his performance in the Ultima at The Festival when he travelled so well.
Chambard won this in heavy ground by no less than thirteen lengths last year, when marked up in my Unibet Blog, and only finds himself 5lb higher this time around. Lucy Turner gets on really well with the horse, the yard is in flying form, including those running on seasonal debut, and with plenty more rain to come, he has to be in the each way mix.
2:25 Sandown – Different Handicap Hurdle (2m)
Zambezi Fix simply loves heavy ground, his form over hurdles on soft/heavy ground reads 20420321. A strong traveller in his races, he’ll get this run to suit with a few of these likely to go forward, and he can reward each-way backers at a nice price.
3:00 Sandown – Tingle Creek Chase Grade 1 (1m 7½f)
Master Chewy (each way) if the field of eight remain looks the selection each way with Jonbon odds-on favourite so hard to oppose. Master Chewy was steadily progressive throughout last year, when he was only just denied his Grade 1 at Aintree by Found A Fifty, form that the winner has franked a couple of times since. He just needed that comeback run at Ascot, giving chunks of weight away to the front three, and should be spot on here.
3:35 Sandown – London National Handicap Chase (3m 4½f)
Mr Vango certainly goes on the ground, having won by sixty lengths in heavy ground at Exeter last year, off the back of which he chanced his arm against Corbetts Cross at Cheltenham in the National Hunt Chase. This front running type showed plenty of determination to lead to the third last at Prestbury Park is what was very hot company when running a more than respectable race. He was then marked up in my Unibet blog when sent off favourite in the Scottish Grand National, finding the ground too quick for his liking and you have to forgive that run. This looks a much more suitable test, and he can take this with Unibet Ambassador Nico de Boinville in the plate on the way to having a crack at the Welsh National.
The Wine Tipster’s Treble
An exhilarating day of racing awaits, with action at Aintree and Sandown drawing all the attention!
Roll these three picks from our red-hot tipster into a treble and the drinks really may well be on you! Mr Vango, Master Chewy, and Zambezi Fix. Add to your betslip, hit the ACCA BOOST option and £5 each way potentially returns over £7,200 if they come in! Of course, it’s a long shot, but stranger things have happened!
