DAY 4 of Royal Ascot 2023 has some strong looking favourites with Little Big Bear Unibet Evens in the Commonwealth Cup Group 1, who back sprinting looks unassailable here, however there are plenty of each way opportunities including Shouldvebeenaring for Unibet Ambassador Richard Hannon.
In the Coronation Stakes Group 1 Tahiyra Unibet 4/7 won the Irish 1,000 Guineas beating Meditate, who reopposes here and with Mawj, who finished ahead of Tahiyra in the Newmarket 1,000 Guineas a non-runner the door is open for Tahiyra to show what a star this filly is for Dermot Weld.
In the King Edward VII Stakes Group 2 this sees the Derby second Real Steel Unibet Evens heading the market after his performance at Epsom on only his third career start. This striking individual looked magnificent beforehand at the Derby, and he can show that he is a serious middle distance player as he fends off Continuous and other Derby runners Dubai Mile, Arrest and Artistic Star.
Enjoy whether at Royal Ascot or watching #athome on ITV Racing.

2.30 Ascot – Albany Stakes Group 3 (6f)
Porta Fortuna impressed when taking the Group 3 Filles Sprint at Naas last time, showing a smart turn of foot and the winning margin of a neck is more down to the winner idling rather than the second making rapid progress late. The speed figure was good for that and there is plenty more to come.

3.05 Ascot – Commonwealth Cup Group 1 (6f)
Shouldvebeenaring for Unibet Ambassador Richard Hannon is the each way selection to chase home Little Big Bear, who is the likeliest winner, as he was most impressive at Haydock after his blowout in the Guineas. Shouldhavebeenaring’s form was just starting to look like it had flattened out, but he won over 7f at Newmarket and then ran second to Little Big Bear in that Sandy Lane, coming from the rear to grab second and only a length and a quarter behind the winner. He’ll surely be ridden in the same way here, held up off the pace to pick up the pieces up late on, and having won over 7f, he’s got that extra bit of stamina for the final against-the-collar climb. A lot to like for the price and with extra places, a lovely-looking bet.

Unibet are paying Money Back as Cash if 2nd or 3rd in this race
3.40 Ascot – Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes Handicap (1m 4f)
Teumessias Fox (nap) comes here bang in form after easy wins at Kempton and Newmarket, on both occasions looking like a horse in front of his mark. He was unlucky in the King George V last year where he travelled through the race like the best horse, only to find his path blocked when he needed a run two furlongs out, and it wasn’t until late in the piece he saw daylight and once he did, ran on well for a close sixth. Temussias looks an even stronger horse this year than last year and with a bit of luck in running, can come out on top.
Unibet 5/1
Haunted Dream won his only start in 2023 at Chelmsford back in April and looks highly likely to continue progressing. He won three times last season and only finished once out of the first three in nine starts in 2022. Haunted Dream has won over this distance, is effective on quick going and looks a value bet for each way players.
Unibet 18/1 each way
5.00 Ascot – Sandringham Stakes Fillies’ Handicap (1m)
Chelsea Green looked very smart on her one start this season when winning at Newmarket last month on handicap debut with plenty in hand. You can expect more today from this daughter of US Navy Flag and she has strong each way claims.
Unibet 11/1 each way
6.10 Ascot – Prince Of Holyrood House Stakes (5f)
Tatterstall is a genuine five-furlong performer, with some key contenders in this field dropping back from six furlongs. There was plenty to like about his success at Epsom over this trip for which he was raised seven pounds. That was a career best effort and with Tatterstall trained by sprint specialist Michael Dods you can expect more improvement here.
