YORK
2:10 Listed Fillies’
Snow Lantern (Sean Levey)
We’ve not made a secret of the regard in which we hold her and it was lovely to watch her win so easily at Newbury last time. It’s rare that you get to actually enjoy watching a race when there’s so much on the line but she did absolutely everything right in a race that has already thrown up a few subsequent winners and she’s come out of it in great form. We toyed with the idea of running in the 1000 Guineas but after discussing it with her owners we didn’t think she was quite ready for a race of that nature at this stage of her career so decided to come here instead and hopefully we’ll have a clearer idea where we go next, although Ascot would seem the most logical. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the ground because I don’t think she’d want it much softer than what it is, but as long as it’s decent she’ll take her chance and is a very exciting filly.
Shine For You (Danny Tudhope)
The form of her run in the Oh So Sharp at Newmarket looks pretty good with Saffron Beach going on to finish second in the Guineas and this filly has improved from two to three. The step up in trip is a plus and she should handle the ground so I’d be hopeful of an encouraging first run, but she will definitely come on for it.

Kool Moe Dee (PJ McDonald)
He’s got some smart sprint form to his name and put up a decent effort in the Super Sprint last year before winning his next two races. We pulled him out of Chester last week because of the ground, and if there is much more rain it could be a similar story here because he’s a very sharp horse who is much better on quick ground.
NEWBURY
We’ve got a few runners down at Newbury and I’m quite keen on the chances of Soundslikethunder in the 1:15. He showed a great attitude to win at Doncaster last time and I think he could end up a smart horse this season. With normal improvement I’d expect Gisburn to go close In the Maiden at 1:50. Mojo Star has lots of nice entries and is a colt we like so I’m confident he can put his best foot forward in the 3:55.
