SANDOWN

River King (Sean Levey)
He’s a colt with plenty of ability but for one reason or another thing havent really fallen his way; he was unlucky at Nottingham when the winner got first run and wasn’t for catching, and then I thought he’d get the job done at Chelmsford last time but he raced a bit freely and was slightly disappointing. We’re now stepping into Handicap Company, which will see him in a better light, and hopefully he can put his best foot forward.

Classic (Ryan Moore)
The plan was the Royal Hunt Cup, but he will probably struggle to get in unless he wins here and picks up a penalty, which gives him a small chance of making the cut, but this is a decent prize in its own right, and both runs this season have been very good. He appears to be much more consistent since being gelded and this looks a particularly suitable opportunity.
4:25
British Blue (Sean Levey)
She got worked up at Goodwood last time, which didn’t help her chance, but she’s got plenty of talent and always works to a decent standard. This is a very competitive Handicap, however, and I’ll be delighted if she can relax, get into a rhythm, and finish her race well to give us something to work on.
BATH

Madame X (Joe Leavy)
She raced awkwardly and hung at Kempton last time, which was a shame, because she had run very well on debut at Salisbury. The drop back to five will suit and hopefully she can put her latest performance behind her.
4:15
Power Of Twins (Joe Leavy)
She’s come on plenty for her first run back at Haydock and is ready for a step up in distance. The handicapper has dropped her another few pounds, so everything points to a good run.
