DONCASTER – FRIDAY
1:15
Circe (Sean Levey)
She bumped into a smart filly on her debut at Sandown and to be honest, while we expected her to run well, we’d have been surprised if she’d beaten the odds-on favourite because ours always improve for the run, so I was extremely pleased with what she showed and she’s a filly we like a lot. She has come on for the experience and I’m expecting a very bold show.
1:50
Local Hero (Sean Levey)
He was extremely impresssive on his first run (at Kempton) and while we thought he’d go well, I wasn’t quite expecting him to do what he did, and time will tell how good that race was, because nothing has come out and run since, but he’s clearly a very talented colt and I have no concerns whatsoever about the drop down to seven furlongs. Put it this way, we should learn a lot more about him after this.
5:20
Dapperling (Alec Voikhansky)
She was very disappointing at York last time where she raced much too free and then got hampered, although she was well beaten anyway so I’m going to draw a line through it completely. This is a double drop down in class, Alec takes 5lbs off her back, and if she can reproduce her excellent run behind Relief Rally in the Super Sprint and Flora Of Bermuda at Goodwood, she’d have a rock-solid chance, but she’s been on the go for a while so does need to bounce back.
