SANDOWN

1:50 G3 Charge

Happy Romance (Sean Levey)

She hated the heavy ground in the Commonwealth Cup last time and while it’s soft ground here it isn’t going to be anywhere near like it was at Ascot. I’m not worried about the drop back to five furlongs because she certainly hasn’t lost any speed and we’ll probably make plenty of use of her.

If she’s 14/1 on the day she definitely represents solid each way value with Unibet.

Beat Le Bon (Sean Levey)

His last three runs have been very good including in the Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot last time and a reproduction of that would give him every chance here. The stiff uphill finish will really suit and this is a good prize to aim at.

Unibet's 15 To Go Free Bet Offer will run on this race.

3:00 Listed

Shine For You (Sean Levey)

She’s a very tough filly with a lovely attitude who goes on any ground and we’ve always thought of her quite highly. The step back down to a mile is a big plus and we’ve done absolutely nothing with her at home since last week so she’s nicely freshened up and will hopefully run a big race.

4:10 Handicap

Man Of The Night (Ryan Moore)

He was quite rightly awarded the race at Doncaster last time after getting a massive bump at a crucial stage but it was good to see him back on his A game and the blinkers clearly helped as well so we’ve kept them on here. He’s been in good form at home and I hope regular readers of this blog managed to win a few quid off the bookmakers because I’ve always maintained he’s got a lot of ability and fingers crossed he can put two good runs together.

5:15 Handicap

Remedium (Sean Levey)

We fancied him very strongly at Chester last time but he did to much to early so we’ll ride him a little colder this time and I think he’s extremely interesting off a mark of 81. It’s a competitive race but I wouldn’t swap him for much else in the field.

HAYDOCK

2:05

Sir Rumi

This is a big step up in trip for him but I liked the way he finished well at Ascot last time so I think it’s worth a shot and he’s a horse we’ve always thought a lot of. He acts best on a decent surface so I wouldn’t want any more rain but if it’s as it is I think he should run well. Unibet's 15 To Go Free Bet Offer will run on this race.

Reverend Hubert

He was extremely unlucky at Doncaster last time and ran much better than his form figure suggests so I wouldn’t take that too literal. He’s got to improve a little bit but stays very well and we are utilising Thore’s valuable 3lbs claim which could be enough to see him bang there.  Unibet's 15 To Go Free Bet Offer will run on this race.

3:15 Old Newton Cup

Lost Eden

This horse has got a lot of ability, mark my words, and I would ignore his latest run at Ascot where the ground was much too soft and it was later discovered he was suffering from an irregular heart beat but he’s had a full MOT since and is absolutely fine. The ground should be ideal and I wouldn’t write him off just yet off the back of what happened last time.

Unibet's 15 To Go Free Bet Offer will run on this race.

3:50

Magic Warrior

He won his Maiden nicely at Brighton and makes his Handicap debut off what looks a reasonable mark of 74. His form is pretty smart and I fancy him to go very close.

LEICESTER

1:35

Aboard The Beagle

You’d like to think this would be a little easier than the race she ran in at Newmarket but it still looks a pretty open Maiden and there’s no doubt she has to step up on what she showed there, but that’s quite possible.

3:20

Typhoon Ten

It was really kind of the Handicapper to put him up another 2lbs for finishing second (again) at Newmarket last time and if any horse deserves to get its head back in front it’s Typhoon Ten! He’s thoroughly genuine with a great attitude and will surely be thereabouts again.
