GOODWOOD

2:25 Handicap

Oh This Is Us (Luke Catton)

This is his first run in a Handicap since the spring and we are taking a valuable 7lbs off his back which certainly brings him more into this. Tracks like this suit him and he’s been in great form at home so should run his race again.

Unibet's 15 To Go Free Bet Offer will run on this race.

3:35 G2 Celebration Mile

Chindit (Pat Dobbs)

I thought he ran a great race in the G1 Prix Jacques Le Marois last time when just getting touched off for fourth place which was a shame because there is a big difference between fourth and fifth place prize money, but as it was he still took home £25k so the journey over to France was worth it and this is obviously a much more suitable opportunity.

The ground will be ideal so we’ll make plenty of use of him and I can’t see any reason why he won’t go very close to winning, although Benbatl does have a good record fresh which is something we have in the back of our minds.

NEWMARKET

2:45 Listed

Mums Tipple (Thore Hammer Hansen)

Things didn’t pan out for him at Salisbury last time when he missed the break and couldn’t get into a rhythm but on his day, as you’ve all seen, he’s a very good horse and I think the return to 6 furlongs will be in his favour so I wouldn’t be writing him off just yet. We will ride him pretty handy.

5:05 Handicap

Clarendon Cross (Thore Hammer Hansen)

He probably shouldn’t still be a Maiden but things haven’t entirely gone his way so I wouldn’t be giving up on him, and we’re hoping the step up to a mile and a quarter will help in a race where he could be particularly well treated off 72 with ‘The Hammer’s’ 3lbs claim as well.

WINDSOR

4:55 Novice

Heredia (Sean Levey)

She’s a very nice homebred of St Albans Bloodstock by Dark Angel who has shown plenty at home and is ready to make her debut. I expect her to come on for the run but am hoping she can still put up a very encouraging performance.

6:30 G3 Winter Hill Stakes

Fancy Man (Sean Levey)

He ran very well at Haydock last time on his first run in three months so that will have blown the cobwebs away and I expect him to be much sharper here. It’s a tight little race but the track and trip will suit and while I’d like a little more rain for him, I shan’t be using that as an excuse if he gets beaten.

7:00 Handicap

Power Station (Sean Levey)

I certainly wouldn’t say he’s got anything to hide from the Handicapper and his form is there for all to see. But he’s a consistent horse who tries very hard and hopefully can go well again.
