Arafi
She’s a very consistent and tough filly who has some decent form on the all weather but has now managed to get up to a mark of 90 which will obviously make things quite difficult and whether she is capable of scoring off this rating I’m not entirely convinced. That said, the trip and the ground are both in her favour.

Teodolina
She’s always been a filly we’ve liked and I was impressed with her attitude at Ascot last time. The soft ground is a big plus and she’s on the upgrade, therefore I think she can go very well.

Kool Moe Dee
He ran a very good race at York last time but got a bump at a crucial stage yet still finished well. He seems to handle any ground and we’ve kept nice and fresh at home so I’m hopeful of a pretty bold show.

Sunset
Everything went wrong for him at Newbury last time when he fell out of the stalls and then managed to pull off a front shoe yet still managed to finish third so it was a good performance under the circumstances. This looks a wide open novice but a reproduction of his latest effort would see him go very close.
Malathaat
She was quite slow to come to hand last year but we gave her a run last backend just for experience and she’s wintered well and looks good in her coat. She’s from a very nice family and should develop into a smart horse but probably over a little bit further.

Man Of The Night
I thought he wanted a step up in trip which is what we did last time but unfortunately it didn’t work out and there’s no doubt he’s proving expensive to follow. He’s got some smart form to his name and one day he will probably will pop up but I certainly wouldn’t be confident of him doing so here.
Al Madhar
He can be quite temperamental, as we saw at Chester last time, but he’s got a lot of ability and hopefully the blinkers will make him concentrate on what he’s doing. This is very much last chance saloon because there are absolutely no excuses this time.
YORK

Noonday Gun
He plugged on nicely at Lingfield last time which was a step (back) in the right direction and I think the long straight at York will really play to his strengths. The ground should be perfect and I wouldn’t write him off.

Robjon
I was delighted with his win at Brighton last time where he showed a good attitude and stayed on to see the trip out well, so six furlongs at York should be right up his street and he’s a colt we have a lot of time for. Hopefully he can run well in what looks a competitive little race.

Banner Moonshine
I thought she’d go close at Lingfield last time but she was a little bit disappointing so she’s on something of a retrieval mission but I do quite like her and if she handles the track I wouldn’t be surprised to see her go very well. The step up to six should help as well.
Double Denim
She ran quite green on debut at Kempton so I’d be expecting a little bit of improvement and hopefully the step to six will be in her favour, too.

Soundslikethunder
He deserved to win at Newbury last time but just got nabbed on the line when conceding 11lbs to the eventual winner. That was obviously a brilliant effort and he is a very, very tough colt who handles his racing really well and has been in great form at home. This is his first run in a Handicap and it will be interesting to see how well treated he is of 90.
