YORK
3:40 Ebor
Raymond Tusk (Jamie Spencer)
This race has been the plan for quite some time and everything has gone well leading up to it. You used to be able to win the Ebor with a smart Handicapper but now you need a genuine Group horse as the race is now worth one million pounds so understandably the quality is going to go up. The trip will be idea and we’ve freshened him up nicely so I’m very hopeful that he can run a huge race. King’s Advice was impressive at Goodwood last time and is the obvious one to beat but I couldn’t be happier with Raymond and I’m extremely hopeful.
4:10 Listed
Kemble (Andrea Atzeni)
She ran very well in a Listed race in France last time and deserves to get her head back in front after some solid efforts in defeat. Any give in the ground will help her chances and she’s got a lot of experience which will help in a race like this.
5:20 Apprentice Handicap
Wedding Date (Thore Hammer Hansen)
She likes it around here having won at the track in May and has put up some good runs in defeat since. The Handicapper very much has her in his grip but Thore’s 3lb claim will help and she’s been in good form at home so I’m hopeful she can go well.
GOODWOOD
2:05 G2 Celebration Mile
Beat Le Bon (Pat Dobbs)
This has basically been the plan every since his impressive win in the Unibet Golden Mile and he is absolutely thriving at present. Everyone knows how much I like this horse so I wont bore readers saying it all over again but the switch to Herridge has clearly improved him and I couldn’t be happier going into this. Dobbsy gets on really well with him and he loves the track therefore I’m very confident he can put up a massive show. Put it this way, I’ll be disappointed if he’s not troubling the judge.

2:40 G3 Prestige Stakes
Dark Lady (Pat Dobbs)
She ran well on her first try at 7f last time and a sharp seven around here should be right up her street. It’s a decent little race but she’s in great form and it would be good to get some proper Black Type.
3:15 Handicap
Tabarrak (Oisin Murphy)
His two runs this season have been ok and the handicapper has dropped him a few pounds as well so he has no real excuses here. He’s a good moving horse so will handle the track and I’m hopeful he can run a decent race but giving weight all round won’t be easy.
Oh This Is Us (Pat Dobbs)
He’s a real star in the yard at Everleigh and owes us absolutely nothing. A fast pace suits him ideally which he will hopefully get here and he has a great attitude. His form is there for all to see so there’s nothing I can add that you don’t know for yourself and I think he has every chance in this.
NEWMARKET
2:45 Handicap
Canton Queen (Tom Queally)
She had a little bit of a set back after her last run which is why we haven’t see her since April but she’s been in good form for a while now and her work has been very good. She’s plenty high enough in the weights but Tom Queally has a good strike rate for us and it would be nice for that to continue.
Posted (Sean Levey)
I really fancy her chances in this as she was quite impressive at Salisbury but the Handicapper whacked her up 6lbs so she does have to produce a career best. That said, I think she’s improving and this is her trip so I’m extremely hopeful that she can run a huge race
4:30 Handicap
Bint Soghaan (Dane O’Neil)
She found the ground much too quick at Bath but anything better than good to firm is fine which she should get here and her form is very consistent. I think 1m2f is her trip and she has every chance in this.
WINDSOR
4:40 Handicap
Allocator (Rossa Ryan)
He’s no world beater but has more than enough ability to win a race and the Handicapper has dropped him a few pounds. The trip will suit him and I’ll be surprised if he’s not capable of a very bold show.
5:15 Novice Stakes
Desert Palms (Rossa Ryan)
He ran much better at Newbury last time after really needing his first run at Goodwood and he’s getting better day by day. This looks an ideal opportunity and he’d have to be very much one for the shortlist.
7:50 Handicap
Water Diviner (Rossa Ryan)
He’s generally consistent on the whole and a mile seems his optimum. I thought he put in a decent piece of work on Wednesday and I expect him to go close.
Letsbe Avenue (Tom Marquand)
The Handicapper is gradually giving him some leeway which was needed as he was struggling off marks in the high 70s. This isn’t a great race and on his best form he’d be in with a shout.
