SATURDAY – KEMPTON

1:25

Audio (Tom Marquand)

He’s been working very well and had an away day at Kempton the other week so will know his way around here. I’ve been very happy with him and think he has a great chance.

2:00

Tomily (Tom Marquand)

He won around here last year off 102 and is 5lbs lower now so make of that what you will. I think he is a better horse on the All Weather and I’ve been very happy with his work. He probably takes a little more work to get fit nowadays but he’s as straight as I can get him and he’s well drawn.

2:35

Canton Queen (Tom Marquand)

We’re going up to a mile but she stayed 7f well at Leicester last September so she should be fine over this trip around here and she seems to have filled out a lot over the winter. She’s clear of the field on ratings so can be expected to go close but I’m not sure how good the William Haggas and Roger Varian horses are…

3:10

Riviera Nights (Ryan Moore)

He’s a real smart colt who improved with every run last year and is much more the finished article now. I thought he put up a good performance carrying a penalty to win at Ripon last September and he’s grown plenty over the winter. It’s a decent race but we’ve got the right man on board and I think he has a great chance, although I hear the Haggas horse (Senza Limiti) is well regarded and has been doing all his work with Skardu who won the Craven on Wednesday!

Leroy Leroy (Silvestre De Sousa)

I think the step back up to a mile will suit and he’s already been to Kempton to do a piece of work so is pretty straight. He’s another who has really matured over the winter and I think he’ll develop into a smart three-year-old.

3:45

Anna Nerium (Tom Marquand)

A lovely filly who gets on really well with Tom and has her first start on the All Weather. On ratings, she comes out on top but this is a tough first race of the season and she will come on plenty for it. That’s said, she’s as good as I can get her at home and on form from last year she’s entitled to go close.

4:15

Embour (Martin Dwyer)

He’s had a run at Windsor which he would have needed so he’ll be much sharper here and he’s a horse we’ve always liked. A fast pace would be ideal as he’s got plenty of speed and I can see him running a big race.

BRIGHTON

5:20

Ivor (Rossa Ryan)

He’s pretty sharp so this track will suit but he has plenty of attitude and we’ve already had him gelded. It will be interesting to see how he fares here but in all honesty I couldn’t be overly confident, although sometimes these horses do surprise us.

Beignet (Tom Marquand)

She’s a smart filly by Canford Cliffs who has been showing me plenty at home. I expect her to come on for the run but still think she’ll run a very big race.

5:50

Blanchefleur (Thore Hansen)

She’s in good form and working well at home but this trip is probably on the sharp side so we’ll be making plenty of use of her and see where we’re at (with her) after this.

7:20

Mongolia (Rossa Ryan)

She ran well at Kempton last time so is fit and the step up to this trip could eek out some improvement but on what she’s shown so far I couldbnt be massively confident.

NOTTINGHAM

5:05

Temple Of Heaven (Sean Levey)

He’s a very well bred colt with a lot of class who I think could develop into a smart prospect. Everything he’s done so far has been very good and I expect him to run a very big race.

6:05

Mr Tyrrell (Sean Levey)

He’s gone up 3lbs for (finally) winning at Windsor on his first run of the season which was a nice surprise as I thought he’d need it but he’s the sort of horse that’s once he’s got his head in front it should give him confidence and be in a good position to follow up. This is a relatively small field and he’s very consistent so should go well again.

6:35

Lexington Warlord (Sean Levey)

He will definitely improve on his first run but will need to as he ran very green on that occasion and in all fairness I think he could be up against it in what looks a pretty hot Maiden.
