He’s always been a very good colt and I was delighted with his thirs place behind Pefect Power in the G1 Middle Park last time where he was only beaten ¾ of a length after not getting the clearest of runs and basically got beaten in a blanket finish. That was on Good to Firm, which is what he’s likely to get here, but he’s quite versatile so shouldn’t mind if it does turn up soft, although on all form so far, he does seem slightly more effective on top of the ground.
He’s up against some proper US sprinters and they won’t be taking any prisoners, so he’s got to be on his A game, but he’s done absolutely nothing wrong in all six starts and has settled into the place really nicely after arriving at the weekend.
He’s not a particularly big colt which is actually a good thing for a track like this because he’s very nippy and sharp so will be able to whizz around the bend and he’s not drawn badly in stall seven. One of his main attributes is that he has a great turn of foot and is an extremely uncomplicated horse so goes there with a very respectable chance under Ryan Moore who’s won both previous races on him.
