NEWMARKET
3:40 G1 2000 Guineas
Chindit (Pat Dobbs)
He came out of the Greenham in great form and I couldn’t be happier with his condition and work coming into this race. The track is an obvious concern because he’s done all his winning on a flat course but I’m just hoping it was the ground that caught him out in the Dewhurst last season because he’s a strong travelling horse who has plenty of gears and looks as though he’s crying out for a mile. It’s a tough race as you’d expect but he more than deserves to take his chance and the drier the ground the better.

Longlai (Silvestre De Sousa)
He got put up 7lbs for winning at Beverley on his first run back but I think he scored with plenty in hand and we’ve kept him nice and fresh at home since then. He’s pretty versatile ground wise and I think he has a great chance.
Zwelela (Rossa Ryan)
She’s a very tough filly who is improving all the time and deserves to take her chance in a race like this. The step up to a mile won’t be a problem and she arrives here at the top of her game so should go well.
GOODWOOD
1:30pm
Teodolina
I think she prefers a bit of cut but she’s ran well around here before and is ready for a run.
Billy Mill
He’s a very tough colt with a great attitude who has won his last two races in decent style. He carries a 6lbs penalty here but Thore is able to claim 3lbs which helps eradicate that slightly and he arrives here in fine shape. He’s quite a nippy horse so shouldn’t have any problems with the track.
2:35pm
Magical Wish
He was a little bit disappointing at Newmarket last time but is a very talented horse and in his two runs at this track he’s finished second on each occasion so we’re pinning our hopes on the course and with Thore’s claim he has no excuses.
3:45pm
Caramelised
The form of his run in the Wood Ditton has worked out quite well and I think he’s come on for that experience as well. He probably wouldn’t need to improve much to take a hand here.
Victorious Night
He’s run fair races on the All Weather and showed more than enough to suggest his winning turn won’t be far away, but he’ll be handicapped after this so we’ll have a better idea where we stand.
4:20pm
Night Of Hope
She’ll strip fitter for her first run of the year but undoubtedly needs to improve quite a bit to figure.
THIRSK
1:35pm
Hotline Bling
He ran a great race on debut at Windsor when just behind stablemate Zoltan Star, who we thought would win, and a reproduction of that effort would see him up to winning this.
2:40pm
Nugget
I was delighted with his win at Newbury last time where he scored with plenty up his sleeve and he’s a very classy horse. This looks an ideal opportunity for him on ground that should be perfect and I’m very hopeful.
3:15pm
Lexington Liberty
She was quite keen at Chelmsford so hopefully that will have blown the cobwebs away and a tight track like this, and back down to 7 furlongs, should be in her favour.
DONCASTER
5:35pm
Tyson
We fancied him to run a big race on debut at Newbury but he was much too keen and then met a little bit of trouble in the last furlong, but he’s better than that and if he settles, and has learnt from his first run, I think he has a big chance.
6:35pm
Lexington Dash
He’s put up two great efforts this season and is in fine form but you never like to see horses get put up in the weights for getting beaten, which has happened here, so I’m not overly confident.
7:10pm
Queen Of Asia
She’s from a very good family whose dam won the Cheshire Oaks, so she’s bred to be winning races and everything she’s done at home suggests she is more than capable of putting up an extremely bold show.
