NEWMARKET

1:40

Concert Party (Sean Levey)
She’s a nice filly who has been going quite well at home. This is a good starting point and I expect her to run a nice race, but like many of ours, she’ll come on for the experience.

2:50

Local Hero (Sean Levey)
I like him. I wouldn’t be put off by his run at Newcastle last time because that was in open company and he’s back against his own age group here, and he’ll like this trip. He’s only ran once on turf, in a race won by Dancing Gemini, which isn’t to be sniffed at, and if the ground keeps drying out, he has every chance. He’s alright.

4:00

Talis Evolvere (Joe Leavy)
He’s very tough and consistent but the Handicapper has him right where he wants and there’s absolutely no room for manoeuvre. I wouldn’t be concerned about the drop back in trip because there’ll be plenty of pace, and he’ll be staying on.

Dark Thirty (Sean Levey)
He’s another who’s handicapped to the hilt, but the ground won’t be an issue and this is his trip. I’ve been happy with him at home, and I can’t see any reason why he won’t run a nice race.

ASCOT

2:57

Angel Hunter (Pat Dobbs)
I was delighted with his first run at Sandown last week and he seems to have taken it well. That has brought him on and he’s a colt we think a lot of, so I’d be expecting him to take all the beating.

Spardakos (David Probert)
His work is to a fair standard, but he will definitely benefit from the run mentally and physically.

5:17

Optiva Star (Thomas Greatrex)
He probably needs to improve a little bit on his latest run, but he’s going the right way, and if he can handle the step in grade, you could consider him as an each way shot.

Ziggy’s Phoenix (Pat Dobbs)
I thought she’d go close at Beverley last time, but she’s got some decent form and is beginning to look reasonably handicapped.

CHESTER

4:55

She Went Whoosh (Alec Voikhansky)
She’s got a lot of speed so the drop back in trip is of no concern and she handles soft ground. My only worry is the draw, but if she overcomes that, I wouldn’t rule her out.

6:05

Witch Hunter (Alec Voikhansky)
I think everybody knows about this horse, so if anyone would like to add something, let me know!

SALISBURY

6:15

Meeghat (Sam Hitchcott)
The extra furlong should suit him, and he’s definitely improved mentally and physically for his first run, but this looks a decent race.

6:45

Queen Maker (Sam Hitchcott)
Both her runs have been on the All Weather, but she’s a nice moving filly who wouldn’t be without a chance in a race like this. Put it this way I’ll be with her more than against her.

8:20

God Of Thunder (Liam Keniry)
He was disappointing last time, and is still plenty high enough in the weights, but he’s unexposed on turf and on his best form he has a shout.

Lexington Knight (Hayley Turner)
He’s a lovely horse and you could set your clock by him. The eagle eyed among you will see he was placed in this race last year of a 1lb higher mark so on that evidence he’s entitled to be bang there!
