SATURDAY
DONCASTER
1:50
Rosallion (Sean Levey)
He’s always been a horse we’ve held in very high regard, and he’s done everything right so far, including at Ascot last time where he was visually extremely impressive. This race has been the plan ever since, and depending on the outcome here, we’d like to consider him for the Dewhurst. This is another step up in class, but the form of his Listed win has worked out very well and his work has been excellent.
2:25
Happy Romance (Alec Voikhansky)
She’s always been extremely consistent and has plenty of top class form. We’ve given her a nice break since Royal Ascot and this will be her first start in a Handicap. Alec takes off a valuable 5lbs and she should handle the ground, although wouldn’t want it to the extreme. She’s in good shape at home and has a very good chance.
The Big Board (Sean Levey)
She’s a tough filly with a lovely attitude and, while she wouldn’t have won, I thought she was a little unlucky at Salisbury last time. I think five furlongs is her best trip and she could run well at decent odds with Unibet.
4:45
Stratocracy (Sean Levey)
We’ve always thought quite a lot of him, but he’s yet to show it on the course, and I expected him to go very close at Newmarket last time. His work is always very good and I’m sure he’s more than capable of winning a race like this – if not, he’ll have a Handicap mark after this anyway. The step up to a mile will suit, as will this more conventional track, and I wouldn’t entirely rule him out.
BATH
2:15
Blue Collar (Sam Hitchcott)
He ran a nice race at York last time, where he was far from disgraced, and he’s ready for the step up to a mile so has every chance of going very close.
