He completely missed the break at Newmarket last time and lost his race at the start, but he’s obviously much better than that and he’s won around York before. Six and seven furlongs come as the same to him and I think he could still be very competitive off his current mark.

He ran well at Newmarket the other day, over a mile, but he was quite keen and didn’t really last home, so the drop back to seven furlongs is a plus and this nice long straight, on perfect ground, will really suit.

He’s a smart colt by Mehmas who has done everything right at home and has also been away to gallop. He looks good in his coat and I’ll be disappointed if he’s not capable of making his presence felt.

Great Bedwyn (Sean Levey)

He stays this trip well, and is generally consistent, but I’ll be keeping an eye on the ground because he does like a bit of cut. It’s his first run of the season, so he’ll come on a bit for it, but he’s in good form and looks well.
