HAYDOCK
3:25 Fillies’ Novice Stakes
Anghaam (Pat Dobbs)
She’s impeccably well bred, by Frankel out of Natagora, and I was very happy with her two runs last year. She’s wasn’t overly big but has grown plenty over the winter and really strengthened up. The step up to a mile is a big plus and she’s improved a lot from two to three but I do think she’ll be better over even further.
4:00 Handicap
Babajan (Jason Watson)
He’s done all his winning on the All-Weather but the fast ground here won’t be an issue and he arrives here fit and well. He is very consistent and should hopefully run a nice rice.
LEICESTER
1:00 Novice Stakes
Night Arc (Sean Levey)
He’s done plenty of work at home and has done everything we’ve asked so this looks a good place to start in what doesn’t look a very strong race but he will improve.
2:10 Listed
Mums Tipple (Sean Levey)
He’s been running really well on the All-Weather and put up a very good performance on finals day last time. I think the drop back to 7 furlongs is a plus and fast ground is right up his street so with a bit of luck he’ll go well.
Beat Le Bon (Hollie Doyle)
He was very unlucky at Newmarket last time when everything that could go wrong did go wrong but he still finished his race well. As you all know we’ve always held him in very high regard and while he’s not always got the rub of the green he still possess a lot of talent and he’s certainly no back number on his very best form.
4:30 Handicap
Keep Right On (Sean Levey)
He is yet to really put a foot wrong and looks like he could have a bright future in Handicaps. He’ll definitely come on for the run but he’s in good form at home and goes there with a decent chance.
Power Station (Hollie Doyle)
He’s ultimately been a little bit disappointing but we’re hoping a small wind operation may help and the step back to 7 furlongs could be in his favour, but I’m not confident by any means.
DONCASTER
4:10 Handicap
Saunton (Rossa Ryan)
I don’t think he quite stayed 7 furlongs on his final start last year so kicking off over 6 furlongs should help, although I would be slightly concerned about the quick ground because he would prefer a little bit of cut, but he’s in good form and has been dropped a few pounds from his last run.
4:45 Maiden
Armor (Ryan Moore)
He is a very speedy colt by No Nay Never whose work has been very sharp and this looks a good opportunity for him. I like him a lot.
5:20 Maiden
Lexington Knight (Rossa Ryan)
He’s put up two very good performances so far and handles his racing very well. His experience will count for plenty in a race like this and I think he has a great chance.
5:55 Handicap
Fierospeed (Ryan Moore)
He’s off a career high mark but is improving all the time and comes here at the top of his game. He won’t have any issue with the ground and in his current form he must go close.
WOLVERHAMPTON
We’ve got a few chances at Wolverhampton including Vitruve who does have something to prove but makes his handicap debut in the 6:15 and we’re claiming 7lbs off so he could be well treated on the All Weather because I didn’t want to risk jarring him up on the fast ground. Good Listener is in good form and has a solid chance in the 7:45 but does have to show his liking for the surface.
