YORK – THURSDAY

2:15 Goffs UK Sales Stakes

Happy Romance (Sean Levey)

She’s already proven to be a real money spinner and has come out of the Super Sprint in great shape. I don’t think she’ll have any concerns going up in trip as she travels well in her races and has a great turn of foot. We gave her a short break after Newbury to keep her as fresh and she’s really thrived over the past couple of weeks, therefore I see no reason why she can’t go extremely well.

Power Station (Rossa Ryan)

He got caught wide at Lingfield last week and couldn’t get any cover so was very keen through the whole race which obviously didn’t help his chances, but the big field here will really play to his strengths and the drop down to six furlongs will be a big help. He’s got to improve a bit to trouble the principals but he’s much better than that last run and I wouldn’t be writing him off by any means.

2:45 Handicap

Ouzo (Sean Levey)

He’s an extremely consistent horse who is probably paying the price for it as the handicapper has him exactly where he wants him, but he’s a very talented horse and has been gelded since his last run at Royal Ascot. This long, flat straight will suit his running style and he seems in fantastic form at home.

Qaysar (Rossa Ryan)

He ran well in a tactical race at Thirsk last time but probably found the track a little too sharp so he’s another who will be much more at home on this lovely long straight where he can get into a nice rhythm. He’s extremely consistent looks a great price each way with Unibet.

3:45 Listed Galtres Stakes

Star Terms (Jim Crowley)

She hasn’t run for a while but her work has been as good as ever and we’ve had this race in mind for quite a while. I expect her to come on for the run but there’s not much between them on ratings and she’s more than entitled to put up a bold show.

4:20 Nursery

Mark Of The Man (Sean Levey)

He’s quickly developing into a very smart colt and I was extremely impressed with the manner of his win at Goodwood last month. His confidence is sky high and he’s, in theory, 1lb ‘well in’ as he’s running off 89 here. He’ll love the ground and I rate his chances quite highly.

4:50 Fillies’ Handicap

Anna Nerium (Ryan Moore)

Both her runs this season have been excellent and she’s well clear on ratings so looks very much the one they all have to catch. Ryan Moore rides her for the first time but she’s a very uncomplicated mare and has loads in her favour.
