ROYAL ASCOT – TUESDAY

1:15 Buckingham Palace Handicap

Motakhayyel (Jim Crowley)

He’s an extremely smart colt who has plenty of ability and I don’t think we’ve reached the ceiling with him just yet. We’re going back down to seven furlongs but there is bound to be loads of pace which will really suit and the quicker the ground the better. He’s been away a few times to gallop and worked really well so arrives here in fantastic form and I’m hopeful of a bold show. Unibet are paying TWO EXTRA PLACES in this race.

War Glory (Sean Levey)

He’s blind in one eye which unfortunately meant he was unable to take an HGV drivers test otherwise he’d be driving himself to the races, but his eye sight hasn’t stopped him winning races and he owes us absolutely nothing having won five times in 2019! You could argue that he’s better on the All Weather but he’s very talented on turf and while this is obviously extremely competitive, and he’ll need plenty of luck in running, I can see him running a big race. Unibet are paying TWO EXTRA PLACES in this race.

Brian Epstein (reserve)

He’s in the Silver Hunt Cup on Wednesday but hopefully he’ll get a run here because I really, really fancy his chances and he ran very well last week at Haydock which will have put him spot on for this. He’s a colt with a touch of class and should be more than capable of making his presence felt wherever he goes. Unibet are paying TWO EXTRA PLACES in this race.

1:50 G1 Queen Anne

Billesdon Brook (Sean Levey)

I was delighted with her run in the Unibet Snowdrop Stakes at Kempton when she was conceding 7lbs to the winner as I’d left plenty to work on so hopefully there will be a little bit of improvement fitness wise. She owes us absolutely nothing and while she’s still enjoying her racing and maintaining a high level of form it makes sense to have a crack at this race. A fast pace will be in her favour and she represents fantastic each way value at 14/1 with Unibet. Unibet are paying AN EXTRA PLACE in this race.

3:35 G1 King’s Stand Stakes

Well Done Fox (Silvestre De Sousa)

He ran an excellent race in the Palace House on his return and will have come on plenty for it as he’d been away to Kempton beforehand and had a really good blow so will definitely be fitter for that outing. He’s got absolutely loads of pace and loves fast ground so has everything in his favour and while it will be very hard to beat Battaash, we’ll be doing our utmost to pick up pieces if the favourite underperforms.

4:10 G2 Duke Of Cambridge Stakes

Posted (Sean Levey)

She is a lovely filly who is extremely consistent and probably shouldn’t be the price she is because I thought she ran a screamer at Kempton last time (behind Nazeef and Billesdon Brook) when losing out in a bunch finish, but it was still a mighty effort and on that run there’s not that much between her and the favourite. That will have put her spot on and if Unibet are still offering 33/1, you’d be mad not to have a few quid each way at those odds!

We’ve got plenty of runners throughout the week including Ouzo in the Silver Hunt Cup and I’m particularly looking forward to running Fox Champion in the Hunt Cup itself so be sure to follow @unibetracing and @Rhannonracing for all the latest news from the yard.
