The Big Board (Oisin Murphy)
She ran a great race at Ascot last time and, while she got put up another 3lbs, she could still be potentially well treated on her previous form, having won off as high as 92, and a stiff five furlongs is right up her street. I’m not sure this is a particulary strong race, so I expect her to go well under Oisin Murphy.

Witch Hunter (Jamie Spencer)
He won this race last year and has posted some excellent efforts in defeat since, notably in the Group One Al Shaqab Lockinge in May. Jamie Spencer gets on very well with him and Witch Hunter has a great record at the track.

Antelope (Joe Leavy)
He ran a nice race on debut at Goodwood and has come on a lot for it. This looks a decent Maiden, however, and he should be more interesting in Nurseries.
Cristo (Tom Greatrex)
Both efforts to date have been fair, and he’s definitely capable of winning races, but he’ll have a mark after this, and his future definitely lies in Handicaps.
Miakoda (Pat Dobbs)
He probably did a bit too much at Sandown on his first run but would’ve learnt plenty from that experience and hopefully he’ll put up a more encouraging display here; he certainly needs to.
Mukaber (Jamie Spencer)
I thought he ran well at Goodwood and the step up in trip will suit. Experience counts for plenty in a race like this and he’s not out of it by any means.

God Of Thunder (Joe Leavy)
He’s quite a tough horse, who has only won on the All Weather, but he’s run a couple of good races here, notably in a decent Handicap in April, and Joe’s 5lbs claim brings his weight down nicely.
Mafnood (Jim Crowley)
He has a high cruising speed but doesn’t find a great amount off the bridle, so I’m hoping the step up to a mile and a half will give him chance to find a rhythm. He’s more than capable of making his presence felt.

Voyage (Pat Dobbs)
I’m not sure he quite stays a mile and a half so we’re dropping back in trip and grade, and he won over course and distance on debut. He has a chance.
Houstonn (Joe Leavy)
I was delighted with him at Ascot seven days ago and he has enjoyed a nice easy week since. The drop back in trip isn’t a concern and we’ll make plenty of use of him.

Linwood (Sean Levey)
He improved from his first run to second when winning well at Newbury last time, of which the second has come out and scored since, so the form looks strong enough. He’s got a small penalty, but we think a lot of him and the step up to a mile can only be a positive.

Aramram (Franny Norton)
He’s a smart colt in his own right and ran well at Ascot last week where the ground was plenty quick enough. He’s drawn in stall one, which is supposed to be an advantage in big fields, and I can easily see him running a big race at decent odds.

Signcastle City (Sean Levey)
He was slightly disappointing at Goodwood last time over seven furlongs, so we’re going back up in trip and dropping back down a grade. He’s generally quite consistent so has a solid each way shout.
ELSEWHERE
We’ve got a few runners elsewhere including Dapperling in the 7:42 at Bath. She ran well at Brighton last time and has been placed a couple of times at Bath so has a decent chance there. Our best hope would be Wheels Of Fire in the 2:40 at Newmarket. He posted a very good effort at Goodwood last time when only beaten ¾ of a length and I’d expect him to go extremely close. Time Turner makes his debut in the 4:16 at Doncaster but will do very well to beat John Gosden’s runner (Chancellor). That said, he’s a smart colt with a bright future.
