DONCASTER – FRIDAY
2:35 G2 Flying Childers Stakes
Trillium (Pat Dobbs)
She was very impressive in the Molecomb where she showed a fantastic turn of foot and this race has been the plan ever since. It will be a tough task to beat Platinum Queen, who brings strong form into the race, but our filly is extremely talented and her work has been excellent, in fact I think she’s getting better and better at home and she has a lovely mind. The track will suit and she is a lovely moving filly so will love the ground. She could be top class and I’m looking forward to seeing how far up the ladder she can go.
3:45 Handicap
Mums Tipple (Pat Dobbs)
He is in great nick at the moment and was unlucky not to win at Ascot last time. I think six and a half furlongs will be absolutely perfect for him, because he was staying on well at Ascot, and he’s done nothing at home all week apart from a walk and a trot around the place so hopefully he’s nice and fresh. It’s a competitive Handicap but he has every chance in his current form.
4:20 Maiden
Uncle (Pat Dobbs)
He’s a very nice colt by Harry Angel who has been showing quite a lot at home. We’ve had a few our debutants (who we fancied) disappoint, so I couldn’t say he’s a certainty but he has plenty of ability and from what I’ve seen I expect him to put up a big show.
We’ve got a few runners down at Salisbury where Lavender Beauty, who stayed on very well over six furlongs at Goodwood last time, will relish the step up to a mile and she has a massive chance in the 4:50.
