Crossgalesfamegame
She has needed the run on her seasonal reappearances in the past, and maybe she will be better for the run again here – some of ours have been improving a fair bit for their first outings – as well as ideally wanting a bit more ease in the ground. But she won well at Market Rasen last term and finished off with a good third at Newbury, and I think she is still on a fair mark.

Hurricane Harvey
The smart hurdler Grand Sancy is the one to beat after a good win at Chepstow last time but he carries a 5lb penalty and we think we have a good horse on our hands in Hurricane Harvey. He was progressive over hurdles last season, including a win here, and he beat a very good sort in Emitom at Uttoxeter on his chasing debut, with some decent horses in behind, too. This is obviously a hot little race, for all there are only three runners, but Hurricane Harvey is a very promising novice chaser for the yard.

Teqany
He may well be one of the outsiders in here, but he could well surprise a few. He comes here in great form after a couple of wins, and then he ran a career-best when fourth to Silver Streak, Verdana Blue and Diego Du Charmil at Kempton last time. He will obviously need to progress again to be winning this but he arrives here fit and in form, and trip and ground are perfect.

Lunar Sovereign
He showed ability at Southwell in the summer, but then clearly ran to nothing like that level at Sedgefield last time. We’d like to think this well-related son of Dubawi is much better than he has shown to date.
