This is the first time I have sat on him but he looks to have been running okay over 2m of late, and hopefully the step back up in trip will really suit. He seems to have had excuses when running a touch below-par over this trip at Kempton last season, and he has often shaped as though he would be suited by this test of stamina, including at Chepstow last time. And maybe the first-time tongue-tie will help, as well.

The form of her Newton Abbot win in September could have worked out better, but I would focus on her potential. I loved the way she travelled there on her racecourse debut, and her attitude when she had to knuckle down close home, and I definitely think she has the ability to be competitive in this higher grade, for all this looks a very good race.
