Polish
This a strong field, as you would expect for a Grade 2 at this meeting, but I think Polish has better claims than his double-figure odds suggest. We ran him over 3m here last time, as I thought he was crying out for it, but it was not the trip that beat him there. In fact, I reckon he would have gone very close to winning has he not made a couple of bad mistakes. And they were proper momentum-stoppers, too. I think the step back to 2m5f will be fine for him here as they are likely to go a good clip in a better class of race and we have definitely not seen the best of him yet.

He was another of ours to have shaped with real promise at the meeting here last month. He looked in need of the experience when second on his hurdling debut at Market Rasen and then he stepped up on that effort when runner-up to a fair sort last time, albeit one that was beaten in handicap company at Sandown on Sunday. A mark of 118 looks fair, and of course we hope there is a lot more to come from him after just two runs. I can see a well-run handicap really suiting him over this trip.
