He comes here in great form and I would like to think he is the one to beat. He was a fair bumper horse but he has just taken off since going hurdling, and his second to the impressive McFabulous in the Persian War last time was just the latest in a long line of steadily-improving performances. Decent ground clearly suits him well and he ran well enough when beaten in the soft at Stratford – he was giving the winner a stone, and that one won next time – so I don’t see any negatives to his chance here, though of course it is a competitive Grade 2 for all there are just six runners.
