He has won here in the past and he has run two excellent races for me since returning from a long break. He finished fourth in a good Warwick handicap last time and has been dropped 1lb for it, and I think the better ground here is a plus for him. This looks a good renewal but he has his chance, all right.

He hasn’t run over hurdles for a while but I like to think he will be competitive here. Things weren’t panning out for him over fences but he was very good when winning a decent jumpers’ bumper at Kempton last month – the runner-up went into the race in good form, and the third and fourth have won since – and two miles on decent ground is ideal. He should go very well.
