1.20pm Aintree
Bold Endeavour He didn’t run up to his best at Lingfield two starts ago but you can pretty much set your watch by him in these big handicaps, and he ran another blinder when fourth in the Pertemps last time. Of course, he pays for that in the weights, and he went up 1lb for being beaten the best part of 4 lengths at Cheltenham, and that makes life hard in these ultra-competitive races. But he has his chance and drying ground would increase his claims. AINTREE 13:20 | ALL ODDS

1. Corach Rambler 2. Vanilier 3. Meetingofthewaters 4. Mahler Mission I haven’t got a ride this year but I reckon Corach Rambler can do it again. Sure, he had a hard race in finishing third in the Gold Cup but that was a career-best and he is 3lb well-in on that run. And he did the Cheltenham-Aintree double last season. He looks the one to beat. I think the betting pretty much has this right as I can see Vanillier following him home again in a repeat of last year, with perhaps Meetingofthewaters and Mahler Mission filling the minor placings.
