Nico De Boinville

1.15pm Ascot

Bective Abbey

He is obviously a lightly-raced horse who did it well at Warwick back in April. He beat a subsequent winner there and hopefully an opening mark of 114 gives him chances. And the step up to 3m promises to suit this point winner, too.

1.50pm Ascot

Jingko Blue

We also had Hyland in this but Jingko Blue takes his chance and can hopefully maintain his unbeaten record over fences. It won’t be easy, as he faces some good rivals here – we beat Lowry’s Bar at Windsor last time, though that one did make a bad mistake and is a big threat here – but we are happy with our horse.

2.25pm Ascot

La Pinsonniere

She is our selected of five in this and she comes here after a good win at Huntingdon last time. I think this ground and longer trip will suit her.

3pm Ascot

Wiseguy

He is another who will appreciate the drying ground and he did it well at Newbury last time. He has gone up 6lb for that, but he is fresh and well after a break, so let’s see.

4.10pm Ascot

Kingston Pride

Wide-margin Taunton winner Just A Rose is probably the one to beat in here but Kingston Pride will like the drying ground and we obviously think he is a lot better than he showed at Sandown last time.
