Jango Baie

We have lost six in here at the overnight stage and are down to just five runners for this 2m5f Grade 2, but it’s a very good race, and the unpenalised Il Est Francais and Pic D’Orhy in particular set a very high standard for Jango Baie to aim at. However, we like to think our Arkle winner can be competitive here. Stamina clearly won the day for him at Cheltenham, and he went on to finish third over 2m4f at Aintree, a performance that was all the more meritorious considering he returned home lame and sore there. He has had his wind tweaked since too, and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do out of novice company.
