He joined us after winning a decent Taunton bumper for Paul Nicholls, and he missed his intended debut at Cheltenham earlier in the month because of the ground. The more eagle-eyed of you will have seen he worked with Constitution Hill here in the gallops morning last week – not that you should read too much into that – and we like what we see of him.

Impose Toi
He progressed throughout last season after winning at this meeting, and we were obviously delighted with his comeback win at Aintree, albeit we didn’t jump a fair few hurdles there because of the low sun. He impressed me there with the way he travelled through the race and we are looking forward to seeing what he can do in this higher grade.

He didn’t get his head in front in three starts for us last season, but I’d say a mark of 130 gives him an each-way chance here. Given he has won over 2m on the Flat, this step up to 3m here could well suit and this course winner should like the ground, too.
