Winner of his only point, he was beaten on his hurdling debut at Warwick , but hopefully that was a fair race and he can improve for it.

We haven’t seen him since he disappointed here in December, but that clearly wasn’t his true form and hopefully he can get back on track with a solid performance here. That said, it’s a pretty competitive handicap and a mark of 131 is only fair on what he had previously achieved when winning his maiden hurdle here, albeit impressively. We also had him in Under Control’s 2m handicap on this card, but this longer trip should suit.

She was obviously very impressive in her last two starts, and the form of the Sandown race she won from Iberico Lord has clearly worked out very well. So she probably has every right to head the betting here off just a 9lb higher mark, which hopefully isn’t the limit of her talents. However, this looks a very good handicap to me against race-fit rivals, with Brentford Hope a big danger, so this won’t be easy for her.
