We would clearly prefer better ground for him, but hopefully we will have had a largely drying 48 hours after Tuesday’s rain by the time of the race. If it doesn’t ride too bad then I think he has a fair chance, as he was very good earlier in the season and he shaped very well over an inadequate 2m3f at Ascot last time, a performance that came off a short break. He has winning course form, and hopefully there is improvement in him.
