Macshadow Des Crai

He had three runs in bumpers and hurdles in France, and he showed ability there without winning. And I see he wasn’t beaten far behind last Saturday’s impressive winner Macktoad in a bumper in the summer. This is clearly something of a baptism of fire for him on his debut for us, but this will tell us where we stand with him. We like to think he is a nice sort.

A winning pointer, he ran well when a close second on his chasing debut at Southwell last month. He went up 2lb for it, but he is clearly entitled to improve for the experience and hopefully the step up in trip will suit.

Reckless Spending

I thought he shaped well over an extended 2m3f at Ascot last month, and I can see this greater test of stamina suiting him, too. I think that Ascot race was decent, for all he only finished third of four.
