Well, this is what everyone in racing has been waiting for since his win in the Supreme, it seems! We obviously knew from a pretty early stage last season that we had something special on our hands, but I don’t think anyone saw the manner of his 22-length Cheltenham victory coming. He was unbelievably, breathtakingly good there and, while it was a different discipline, you all saw what the runner-up Jonbon did over fences at Warwick on Wednesday. It goes without saying that we have been delighted with him at home, or else we wouldn’t be here, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. This is his first run outside of novice company, against good horses, and we obviously hope he runs up to expectations.

We have been very pleased with what we have seen of him at home, and the rain earlier in the week was very welcome for him. Hopefully, he will give a good account of himself if reproducing his home talent, though the experience of a race will not be lost on him, you never know what you will bump into in these contests and recent course runner-up Way Out sets a decent form standard.
