Don’t Tell Su
This race has cut up to just five runners, which is obviously good news for those who have stood their ground. We are still getting to know him, as he has only relatively recently joined us from Paul Nicholls, but he looks to be on a fair mark on his hurdling form, and he had one spin over fences at Sandown last March, so let’s see what he can do. Hopefully, he can prove better in the chasing sphere.

Soomaroy
Another horse who is new to us, having won his point in March, soon after which he was picked up for a fair amount at the sales. He looks a very nice prospect at home, but let’s see what the racecourse tells us. There looks to be a couple of decent sorts in opposition here.

Bhaloo
He won the novices’ handicap chase on this card last season. A lot may depend on how much rain they get before the race, as he is definitely better on good ground, but hopefully that’ll be fine, and a mark looks okay on the balance of his form. The trip is an unknown, but his efforts over shorter, including a good third over 2m5f at Market Rasen in July, suggest he is worth another go at three miles.
